National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) is an autonomous R&D institution located in Chennai (formerly known as C-WET). The Institute is the technical arm of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India in the field of Wind Energy. It is a knowledge-based institution of high quality and dedication, offer services and seeks to find complete solutions for the kinds of difficulties and improvements in the entire spectrum of the wind energy sector.
In order to carry out further research and development works, the Institute invites ONLINE Applications for the post of “Project Assistant” under the Project “Integrated Wind and Solar Resource Assessment through Mapping and Measurements” and “Project Engineer” for Standards & Regulation purely on CONTRACT BASIS with a consolidated remuneration.

Experience & Desirable Skills:

Project Assistant Grade I	The Candidate must be Physically fit for Climbing the tower (of height 120/ 100m) and carrying out rigorous travelling.
Project Assistant Grade II	Hands-on working experience in the softwares like WAsP, Windographer, Global Mapper.
Project Engineer Grade I	Minimum 2 years of working experience in Engineering/Technology field in wind energy sector. Team spirit, flexibility and ability to work with high level of personal responsibility Willingness to travel for the assigned jobs Medically fit and capable to climb wind turbine towers.
Project Engineer Grade II	Minimum 4 years of working experience in Engineering/Technology field in wind energy sector. Team spirit, flexibility and ability to work with high level of personal responsibility Willingness to travel for the assigned jobs Medically fit and capable to climb wind turbine towers.

Job description & Consolidated Remuneration:

Project Assistant Grade I	Assisting Scientists in activities related to installation and commissioning, operation & Maintenance of meteorological masts & Solar Radiation Resource Assessment Stations travelling to various part of the country and climbing of 120/100 m height met mast (pole). The Candidate must be Physically fit for Climbing the tower (of height 120/ 100m) and carrying out rigorous travelling.	Rs.20,000/- per month
Project Assistant Grade II	Assisting Scientists in wind data analysing, preparation of DPRs and technical reports.	Rs.25,000/- per month
Project Engineer Grade I	To provide assistance for reviewing of documentation of various wind turbine models provided by wind turbine manufacturers as per the procedure stipulated by MNRE in connection with RLMM / ITAM To provide technical supporting in uploading of various documentation in RLMM online portal To provide technical support in upgradation of RLMM online portal To provide assistance for carrying out various works related to Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) of NIWE on a continual basis.	Rs.30,000/- to 35,000/- per month
Project Engineer Grade II	To carry out various works during the implementation of Indian Certification Scheme for Wind Turbines To provide support in preparation of documentation in connection with IWTCS To provide technical support for reviewing of documentation of various prototype wind turbine models in connection with finalization of recommendation for grid synchronization, as a part of IWTCS To provide technical support for all the matters related to IWTCS such as Failure reporting & Evaluation, Safety and performance assessment certification and decommissioning and other works of National repository. To provide support for the preparation of Indian standards on wind turbines To provide support for review the draft standards for sending the comments to IEC/IECRE	Rs.50,000/- per month
